For those who have seen me recently and have had a chance to chat with me, you would be aware that I have just taken on a project. My project is Fun 4 Kids.

HISTORY:
About 1 month ago, I decided to take on a project. This project would see a charity / community, benefit.

After performing 3 weeks of enquiring, as to which community I feel will get my support I have come up with Camp Quality. All charities I had performed research on were great candidates but after having a meeting with the people from Camp Quality I felt they were what I was looking for. After all, I had to be completely dedicated and present not to mention comfortable with my chosen charity.

For anyone that has ever been involved with raising money for the needed, you will know how tough it can be in getting the ball rolling to achieve some sort of desired outcome.

CAUSE:
Camp Quality is a charity which supports and raises money for kids with cancer. With this money they are able to take kids up to the age of 18 to camps , movies, evenings out etc. The motto is to have FUN and help kids forget about there unfortunate disease, even if it were for that 1 week away while on camp.

Camp Quality also supports the individual needs of families with financial and home assistance by helping to pay bills, transport to hospital and some other challenges that cancer brings.

There are over 120 camps and 200 day activities around Australia each year. My aim is to continue to be in a position were the camps & day activities are fully funded for.

For those who have been involved with Camp Quality or have had friends or relatives involved, you will already know in what a great job the people at Camp Quality are doing, and what a difference it makes to their immediate families.

Kids with cancer, their siblings & parents always look forward for that time away with Camp Quality. Not only do the parents have the opportunity to spend time away from home and the hospitals with there kids, but it is all free and all taken care off from the good people at Camp Quality.

NO, financial contribution from parents is needed to attend fun activities. So NO family gets to miss out, even those who are financially disadvantaged.

AIM:
My aim would have to be, to be able to raise funds for Camp Quality and assist in making others life’s just a bit easier and that little bit less stressful.

For those who know me well, you can always count me in for a good laugh. Whether it is laughing at me or with me, I still love to participate. After all laughter is a great medicine.

My target money raised is set at $5,000.

-I am also open to hear suggestions from other communities (your direct communities) on how we can raise that little bit more. Maybe you can get in contact with me with some idea going on in your head that would inspire you and those around you. It could be as simple as having a raffle at work, or passing the hat at your local footy or soccer club. I would definitely try my best to support you, which would be supporting Camp Quality. All you need to do is email me or call me.

Please SEND THIS LETTER TO YOUR EMAILING LIST, its not the sort of email that I would want to see accomplish record hits through the world. But the sort of email that would make happen , what I intend in doing. Raising it for the kids.

So please, if your email contacts consists of taking emails on joyrides, this is not what we want.

As i would want to see my project complete by end of April ‘09 I am putting myself out there.
I hope I have accomplished to inspire you to help me in raising money for kids with cancer.

I have attached a sanction letter from Camp Quality to verify my involvement. All donations would be going directly to Camp Quality’s account. Please remember to include the sanction number : SYD0902 Fun for Kids as a description when depositing money or they won’t know who it came from. And we definitely want them to know that it was from us.

If any tax deductible receipts are needed, please make the available requested through their website.
